One of the most popular players on High Stakes Poker this season, Daniel Negreanu, came out on top after picking up a very solid $440,000 pot on the last episode of HSP. Adelstein vs. Negreanu: Round Two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Garrett Adelstein has himself told the media that he\u2019s been less than impressed with his performance on the show so far, especially on episode 8. Despite his feelings, it was he who got things rolling after raising to $3,000 from a middle position with a hand of Ace of Clubs and 7 of Clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quick as a flash, Negreanu upped the stakes to $10,000 with the 10 of Diamonds and 10 of Hearts. Not to be outdone, Adelstein then four-bet to $40,000, which Negreanu called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the flop arrived as the 3 of Diamonds, 5 of Diamonds, and 5 of Spades, viewers were keen to see that both players ended up checking. When the 5 of Clubs came out on the turn and the 6 of Spades arrived on the river, it was Adelstein with a \u201cwow\u201d moment of going all-in with $179,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negreanu looked momentarily puzzled by the huge bet, yet still called and was rewarded with the mammoth $444,500 pot <\/strong>\u2013 the largest so far on season 9 of High Stakes Poker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, there are casinos in Canada<\/a> <\/strong>where the pots can also reach huge numbers much like in HSP, so who knows, play your cards correctly and maybe you could be a big name on the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menon Gets a Great Payday on HSP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It was Krish Menon\u2019s turn to rake in the big pot on episode 8. We\u2019ve already seen Menon take down a giant pot against Brunson on episode 6, so it came as no shock that he had the ability to repeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the flop arrived as the King of Spades, 3 of Diamonds, and Queen of Clubs, Menon, as the small blind, had the hand of 3 of Spades and 3 of Clubs. The turn came as the 4 of Clubs, and Menon advanced the pot with a raise of $9,000, which made Tilly (with the Ace of Clubs and 8 of Clubs) call as the big blind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellande was clearly eager for a big win and raised things to $45,000, but Tilly and Menon refused to go anywhere and called. The river arrived as the 9 of Spades, and it was Bellande who added to the pot total to make it $151,000. Menon, unfazed, went all-in, which Tilly wanted no part of and folded. Bellande considered the hand, but made the choice to fold. This left Menon with a huge smile and a $428,000 pot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
