These include:<\/p>\n\n\n    <ul class=\"green-list\">\r\n                    <li>\r\n                Online casino \r\n            <\/li>\r\n                    <li>\r\n                Online poker \r\n            <\/li>\r\n                    <li>\r\n                Online bingo \r\n            <\/li>\r\n                    <li>\r\n                Online lotteries \r\n            <\/li>\r\n                    <li>\r\n                Mobile betting \r\n            <\/li>\r\n            <\/ul>\r\n\n\n\n<p>The confusion comes when one has to decide which operator to choose. <strong>Under the NZ lat, players are allowed to gamble for real money in the case of overseas betting<\/strong>. In other words, <strong>players can\u2019t place online bets with an operator that is based in New Zealand but have to choose a remote operator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Legally, though, players in New Zealand aren\u2019t forbidden to bet online. The turnover must exceed $500 but can\u2019t go beyond $25000. Class 2 gambling is not required to possess a licence but must be conducted by societies as defined in the Gambling Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Class 3<\/strong> &#8211; gambling prizes must exceed the value of $5000. The licence is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Class 4<\/strong> &#8211; gambling usually refers to the use of gaming machines. It requires a license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Governmental Organisations that Oversee Gambling in New Zealand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 4 national agencies that regulate gambling in New Zealand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Department of Internal Affairs<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This agency writes legislation on gambling and is in charge of licensing gambling activities, with the exception of casinos. It\u2019s the agency\u2019s responsibility to educate the public about the gaming law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Ministry of Health<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry provides help for problem gamblers and funds the support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Gambling Commission<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisation manages all licensing for casinos, including issuing new and renewing expired licenses.
